Monstera Thai Constellation (JIFFY)

Monstera Thai Constellation is one of the most popular variegated houseplants, known for its creamy-white marbled leaves that resemble a starry sky. Unlike regular variegated Monsteras, the variegation in Thai Constellation is genetically stable, so new leaves usually keep their patterns.

Basic Care

• Light: Bright indirect light is best. Avoid harsh afternoon sun, which can scorch the white areas.
• Water: Water when the top 2–3 inches of soil feel dry. Keep soil slightly moist but never soggy.
• Humidity: Prefers 60%+ humidity for large healthy leaves.
• Temperature: Ideal range is 18–30°C.
• Soil Mix: Chunky, airy mix with cocopeat/peat, bark, perlite, and compost.
• Fertilizer: Balanced liquid fertilizer every 3–4 weeks during active growth.

Growth Features

• Produces large fenestrated (split) leaves as it matures.
• Slower growing than normal Monstera because variegated sections contain less chlorophyll.
• Benefits greatly from a moss pole or climbing support.

Common Problems

• Brown edges on white parts: Usually low humidity or too much direct sun.
• Yellow leaves: Often overwatering.
• Reverted green leaves: Rare, but prune overly green growth to maintain variegation.
