Care Requirements

1. Light

• Prefers low to medium light.

• Too much light can cause algae to grow on leaves.

2. Water Parameters

• Temperature: 22–28°C

• pH: 6.5–7.8

• Hardness: Soft–medium

• Very tolerant and beginner-friendly.

3. Planting Method

Do NOT bury the rhizome.

• Tie or glue to:

  • Rocks

  • Driftwood

  • Decoration pieces

Burying the rhizome will make the plant rot.

4. Fertilization

• Survives without heavy fertilization.

• Benefits from:

  • Liquid fertilizers (low dosage)

  • Occasional root tabs if placed near substrate

5. Growth Pattern

• Long, wavy leaves with a dark green color.

• Slow grower but extremely hardy.

• Great for shrimp tanks, betta tanks, and low-tech aquascapes.

6. Maintenance

• Trim old yellow leaves.

• Wash algae if necessary.

• Keep water flow gentle to moderate.
